INTERESTING NOTES: One of three children of Howard & Frances GRUNDTISCH, she grew up in an athletic family – her brothers were both active in sports and she played basketball. Her father Howard was a standout athlete himself in the 1910s & 1920s, excelling at ice hockey & baseball, and her Uncle Ralph GRUNDTISCH was a pro golfer.

Her brothers stayed involved with sports into their adult life with one of her brothers becoming an Athletic Director at a high school in the Buffalo area & another owning/operating two local ice hockey rinks. Her brothers also both served in the military with the U.S. Navy.

She continued to be a big sports fan throughout her life, and she most enjoyed watching hockey & football.

From her childhood, she loved animals, especially cats. Several cats were members of the family in her adult life.
