This photo of my grandmother Rita ROMANE with her grandfather Edward HILBURGER has seen better days, as it is faded, with dirt & dust buildup over the years. But I’ve always liked it, just the candidness of it, close to the camera, a proud grandfather & then my grandmother (just 11 months old at the time) not even looking at the lens.

With the help of MyHeritage & a touch of Photoshop, it was colorized and restored quite nicely. Have a look moving the slider back and forth for before & after:

Added this photo to my grandma’s profile page here. The ancestor profile pages are new to the site, and I’ll be adding many more going forward.
