Here are some families I'm having trouble tracing. Tips, advice, or any assistance is welcome!
Koscielniak: Jan Koscielniak was born in Dec. 1854 in "Sroda," Poland per Buffalo church
records. The problem is that Sroda is an entire county in Poland. I'm looking for the
exact village he was from. He married a Marianna Kaczmarek about 1885 in Poland
and had children Frank, Josephine, and John in Buffalo shortly thereafter. She died
in 1889 in Buffalo and he remarried Marianna Borucka about 1890. They had eight
children together. His parents were Andrzej Koscielniak and Jadwiga Bartosik per his
death certificate. Nothing more known about his family or origin.
Wife of Christopher Lake: Christopher Lake was born in 1755 in New Jersey and he died
in 1820 in Loughborough Township, Ontario, Canada. His wife's name has been cited
as Susannah in a number of genealogies, but her maiden name is not known and nothing
more is known about her. Christopher and Susannah are thought to have married around
1778 in eastern New York State, since Christopher's parents relocated to White Creek,
Washington Co., NY when he was a young child. Seven of Christopher and Susannah's
first eight children are thought to have been born in White Creek, NY, between 1780 and
1794, though no birth or baptism records have been found. A true mystery!
